An exciting game was when first ranked First ranked Pure Youth faced 4th placed Yulon Luxgen. Pure Youth (16-6) smashed Yulon Luxgen (12-12) 84-65. Pure Youth trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 49-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pure Youth made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks. Swingman Kan Hiroshi (195-85) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Canadian center Liam McMorrow (218-87, college: Tenn Tech, agency: Worldwide Career Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 16 rebounds and guard Kai-Xiang Hu (190-91) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-6 record. Loser Yulon Luxgen keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Pure Youth will meet Fubon Braves (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Yulon Luxgen will play against KKL and hope to secure a win.
