Regular Season Round 22: Sakarya BSB - Final Genclik 88-80

Very predictable result in Sakaraya where fifth ranked Sakarya BSB (15-7) beat 16th ranked Final Genclik (6-16) 88-80. Sakarya BSB players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Final Genclik was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for FYR Macedonian-American point guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Kerem Ozkan (201-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. American forward Justin Knox (205-89, college: N.Carolina, agency: Two Points) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and forward Omer Unver (204-81) added 17 points in the effort for Final Genclik. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sakarya BSB moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Denizli. Final Genclik lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 16 games lost. Sakarya BSB will play against Adanaspor (#17) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Final Genclik will play against Balikesir and hopes to get back on the winning track.
