Regular Season Round 23: Treviglio - Tezenis VE 74-62

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked Tezenis VE (13-10) lost on the road to ninth ranked Treviglio (12-11) 74-62 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Treviglio. Tezenis VE was better in fourth quarter 23-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Treviglio shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The former international center Emanuele Rossi (206-82) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Mirco Turel (191-94) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Treviglio's coach Adriano Vertemati used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Rayvonte Rice (193-92, college: Illinois, agency: Pensack Sports) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (207-91) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Tezenis VE. Four Tezenis VE players scored in double figures. Treviglio maintains ninth place in A2 with 12-11 record. Loser Tezenis VE keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Treviglio will face higher ranked Roseto (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
