An exciting game was played in Singapore. Second ranked Singapore Singapore Slingers faced 4th placed Vietnamese Saigon Heat. Host Singapore Slingers (16-4) smashed guests from Saigon (8-11) 100-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saigon Heat. The game without a history. Singapore Slingers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Saigon Heat's 38. They outrebounded Saigon Heat 36-25 including 21 on the offensive glass. Singapore Slingers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Justin Howard (208-81, college: Mercer) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Xavier Alexander (198-88, college: S.Nazarene) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. Four Singapore Slingers players scored in double figures. Singapore Slingers' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and guard David Arnold (187, college: Mont.St.-Billings) added 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Singapore Slingers keep a position of league leader, which they share with KL Dragons. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost.
