Leading Bucaneros (15-6) recorded its sixth loss in La Guaira. Hosts were edged by seventh ranked Gaiteros (8-10) 75-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Bucaneros. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Jesus Centeno (190-85) with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Dominican guard Juan Coronado (193-83) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gaiteros maintains seventh place with 8-10 record. Bucaneros at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. Gaiteros will play against Panteras (#8) in Caracas in the next round. Bucaneros will play at home against Guaiqueries (#5) and hope to get back on the winning track.
