Regular Season Round 25: Stevnsgade - Randers 87-79

Date: February 27, 2016
The game in Stevnsgade was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked Randers (8-18) played at the court of seventh ranked Stevnsgade (5-21). Stevnsgade managed to secure a 8-point victory 87-79. Randers were ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 47-32 second half run of Stevnsgade. They made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Randers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of French Bruno Cingala-Mata (200-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) added 25 points in the effort for Randers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Stevnsgade maintains seventh place with 5-21 record. Randers lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 18 games lost. Stevnsgade will play against higher ranked Horsholm (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Randers will play against SISU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
