2.Bundesliga top team - Fireballs (20-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked ASC Theresianum Mainz (7-12) in Bad Aibling 87-51. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of ASC Theresianum Mainz. The game without a history. Fireballs led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to ASC Theresianum Mainz's 34. Fireballs forced 28 ASC Theresianum Mainz turnovers and outrebounded them 49-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American guard Lindsay Sherbert (184, college: Gonzaga) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Lena-Marie Bradaric (166-93) supported her with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Fireballs players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds by Czech center Gabriela Jandova (190-73) did not help to save the game for ASC Theresianum Mainz. American guard Bria Richardson (173, college: Pepperdine) added 13 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Fireballs have an impressive 20-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 20-0 record. Loser ASC Theresianum Mainz keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Fireballs will meet Homburger TG (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ASC Theresianum Mainz will play against Wasserburg II and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
