Regular Season Round 23: Ourense - FC Barcelona II 79-83

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked FC Barcelona II (12-11) defeated on the road 12th ranked Ourense (9-14) 83-79. Ourense was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. FC Barcelona II made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Ourense turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by Ourense helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Marc Garcia (199-96) who led the winners and scored 23 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Slovenian point guard Jaka Lakovic (186-78) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Venezuelan guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) came up with 18 points and Trinidad and Tobago center Kyle Rowley (213-90, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Ourense in the defeat. Four Ourense players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. FC Barcelona II moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Castello and Coruna. Ourense at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. FC Barcelona II's next round opponent will be Planasa NV (#14) in Pamplona and are hoping to win another game. Ourense will play on the road against Burgos and hope to win that game.
