Regular Season Round 24: Blois - Caen 71-67

NM1 top team - ADA Blois (20-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Caen (14-10) 71-67. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Caen won fourth quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ADA Blois dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Caen's 28. Worth to mention a quality performance of American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds and British-Ghanian center Eric Boateng (208-85, college: Arizona St.) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Marvin Phillips (203-83, college: Claflin) with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. ADA Blois have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Newly promoted Caen keeps the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with GET Vosges. ADA Blois will play against Berck (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Caen will play against GET Vosges (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
