A very close game took place in Leon between Grupo Inec Z. and Agustinos-Eras. Third ranked Grupo Inec Z. (11-4) got a very close victory on the road over top-ranked Agustinos-Eras (13-2). Grupo Inec Z. managed to escape with a 1-point win 63-62 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of Agustinos-Eras. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in Group A-B. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 20 rebounds. American guard Isaiah Tate (192-89, college: George Mason) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Dionte Ferguson (198-92, college: S.Alabama) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and center Sergio Martinez (205-92) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Grupo Inec Z. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group A-B, which they share with Mieres BVM. Loser Agustinos-Eras still keeps top position with two games lost. Grupo Inec Z. will meet Gijon (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Agustinos-Eras will play against Vigren (#4) in Zamora and hope to secure a win.
