And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where eighth ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (9-12) won against 5th ranked Elchingen (10-11) in a home game by 6 points 99-93 on Sunday evening. Weissenhorn Youngstars made 24-of-30 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 22 Elchingen turnovers. Weissenhorn Youngstars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Elchingen was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Joschka Ferner (202-96) who scored 37 points (!!!) (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). American point guard Christopher Anderson (170-92, college: San Diego) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds, 14 assists and 6 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Polish Kevin Wysocki (200-87, agency: Octagon Europe) who recorded 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American point guard Lorne Jackson (188-90, college: Pepperdine) added 23 points, 6 assists and 7 steals respectively. Four Weissenhorn Youngstars and five Elchingen players scored in double figures. Elchingen's coach Dario Jerkic tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Weissenhorn Youngstars maintains eighth place in South with 9-12 record. Newly promoted Elchingen keeps the fifth position with 11 games lost. Weissenhorn Youngstars will face Saarlouis (#11) on the road in the next round. Elchingen will play against Fraport Skyliners II (#4) in Frankfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
