Rather expected game when 13th ranked Volpino (8-16) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Padova (10-14) 74-65 on Sunday. Padova forced 24 Volpino turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Gabriele Salvato (193-90) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and power forward Francesco Tuci (204-92) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) with 19 points and 4 assists and power forward Michele Squeo (206-89) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Volpino's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Padova moved-up to ninth place in B, which they share with Varese Coels. Loser Volpino dropped to the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Padova will face league's second-placed Orzinuovi GaGa at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Volpino will play against Lecco (#4) and hope to win that game.
