Rather predictable result in Panevezys where tenth ranked Nafta-Uni. (16-19) smashed bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (7-28) 91-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Nafta-Uni. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Nafta-Uni. forced 20 Lietkabelis-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Lietkabelis-2's players. Forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Arunas Mikalauskas (199-97, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Nafta-Uni. players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Audrius Stasaitis (192-81) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Darius Marcinkevicius (201-91) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nafta-Uni. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Silute. Lietkabelis-2 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 28 lost games. Nafta-Uni. will face Silute (#10) on the road in the next round. Lietkabelis-2 will play against Rasai (#12) in Raseiniai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
