Regular Season Round 21: Rosalia - Chantada 60-51

There was a minor upset in Santiago de Camp. where 8th ranked Chantada (6-10) was defeated by eleventh ranked Rosalia (4-12) 60-51 on Saturday. Chantada was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 24-11 charge of Rosalia, which allowed them to win the game. American center John Swords (213-92, college: Bowdoin, agency: Duran International) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and guard Dario Suarez (181-87) chipped in 8 points. Rosalia's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was swingman Josep Pacreu (197-78) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and center Manuel Sanchez (207-81, college: Indian Hills CC) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Rosalia maintains eleventh place in Group A-B with 4-12 record. Chantada lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with ten games lost. Rosalia will face league's second-placed Grupo Inec Z. in Zamora in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
