It was a great shooting night for Sendai 89ers especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Iwate Big Bulls were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American guard Wendell White (198-84, college: UNLV) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Takehiko Shimura (160-83) contributed with 17 points and 9 assists for the winners. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) answered with 32 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) added 11 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Five Iwate Big Bulls players scored in double figures. Iwate Big Bulls' coach Geoffrey Katsuhisa tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sendai 89ers moved-up to second place, which they share with Niigata Albirex. Loser Iwate Big Bulls keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. Sendai 89ers will have a break next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play again at home against Sendai 89ers (#3) and hope to win that game.
