Regular Season Round 20: Vichy Clermont - Nantes 80-73

Date: March 5, 2016
There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked JA Vichy (9-11) defeated at home higher ranked Nantes (9-11) 80-73 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Nantes won third quarter 20-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard Dustin Ware (183-90, college: Georgia) who scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Swingman Jason Williams (198-83, college: UTEP, agency: HMS) chipped in 20 points. Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. Power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Bible) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Marcus Ginyard (196-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Octagon Europe) added 12 points respectively for the guests. Nantes' coach Franck Collineau tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. JA Vichy moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Nantes. JA Vichy will face bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (#18) in Orchies in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
