Regular Season Round 22: Maccabi T-A - Hapoel T-A 68-84

The most important game in the last round took place in Tel-Aviv between second ranked Maccabi T-A (15-7) and ninth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (10-13) on Sunday night. Maccabi T-A was defeated by Hapoel Tel-Aviv at home 84-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Tel-Aviv looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Maccabi T-A helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) scored 16 points and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American forward Demitrius Conger (198-90, college: St.Bonaventure) chipped in 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. At the losing side American-Nigerian Ike Ofoegbu (205-84, college: SMU) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American-Nigerian power forward Trevor Mbakwe (207-89, college: Minnesota, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hapoel Tel-Aviv maintains ninth position with 10-13 record. Maccabi T-A at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost.
