Another interesting game for Chiba Jets (14-22) which played in Tokyo against 4th placed Hitachi Sunrockers (25-12). Eighth ranked Chiba Jets had an easy win 73-60. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Guard Tomokazu Abe (180-85) stepped up and scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) chipped in 15 points. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American power forward Joshua Heytvelt (210-86, college: Gonzaga) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and international power forward Joji Takeuchi (207-85) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Hitachi Sunrockers' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba Jets maintains eighth place with 14-22 record. Hitachi Sunrockers at the other side keep the fourth position with 12 games lost. Chiba Jets will play against higher ranked Hokkaido L. (#6) in Saporro in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hitachi Sunrockers will have a break next round.
