Date: March 9, 2016
Very expected game in Aldeota where 9th ranked Vivo/Franca (11-13) was rolled over by fourth ranked SKY/Basquete (17-8) 99-71 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by SKY/Basquete. Vivo/Franca was better in fourth quarter 22-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vivo/Franca 40-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. SKY/Basquete looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Marcus Vinicius Toledo (201-86) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. The former international Audrei Parisotto (196-84) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Douglas Kurtz (213-87, college: Hawaii) produced 15 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Caue Borges dos Santos (180-91) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for the guests. SKY/Basquete moved-up to third place. Vivo/Franca at the other side keeps the ninth position with 13 games lost. SKY/Basquete will face league's second-placed Paschoalotto/Bauru at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vivo/Franca will play against Universo/Vitoria (#13) in Salvador and hope to win that game.
