Regular Season Round 27: Chemnitz - Finke Baskets 80-58

Date: March 11, 2016
No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (12-15) smashed at home 13th ranked Finke Baskets (9-18) 80-58 on Friday. BV Chemnitz 99 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Finke Baskets' players. Finke Baskets were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Greg Logins (203-88, college: Canisius, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import point guard Virgil Matthews (188-83, college: Montana, agency: Court Side) chipped in 10 points and 8 assists. Four BV Chemnitz 99 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Ivan Buntic (207-91) who recorded 10 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Steven Bennett (170-88, college: Chaminade) added 12 points respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BV Chemnitz 99 maintains tenth place with 12-15 record, which they share with Hanau. Loser Finke Baskets keep the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. BV Chemnitz 99 will face Koeln Rh.Stars (#12) on the road in the next round. Finke Baskets will play against the league's leader Science City Jena where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
