There was a small surprise in Joniskis where eleventh ranked Delikatesas (14-21) defeated 8th ranked Petrochema (16-19) 92-74 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-74. Delikatesas dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Petrochema's 38. Delikatesas forced 22 Petrochema turnovers and outrebounded them 35-22 including 22 on the defensive glass. Petrochema was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Forward Henrikas Vorotnikovas (203-90) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds and forward Tomas Milinskas (202-90) added 12 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Petrochema's coach Kestutis Narusevicius rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Delikatesas have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 14-21 record, which they share with Rasai. Petrochema at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 19 games lost. Delikatesas will face bottom-ranked Lietkabelis-2 (#14) in Panevezys in the next round.
