Regular Season Round 24: Bank of Taiwan - Pure Youth 76-86

SBL top team - Pure Youth (21-7) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked Bank of Taiwan (11-18) 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by Pure Youth. Bank of Taiwan was better in second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Pure Youth won last quarter 20-11. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international swingman Wen-Cheng Tsai (190-85) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) who added 15 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Australian center Luke Nevill (218-86, college: Utah) with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Po-Sheng Chang (185-87) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-7 record. Bank of Taiwan lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 18 games lost. Pure Youth will face Fubon Braves (#5) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against KKL and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
