Regular Season Round 20: Ribola Kastela - Skrljevo 72-74

Eleventh-ranked Ribola Kastela (2-16) gave a tough game to sixth ranked KK Skrljevo (9-10) in Kastela Sucurac. The visitors from Skrljevo managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 21-15. But Ribola Kastela won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international guard Davor Kus (192-78, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Roko Rogic (185-92) contributed with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four KK Skrljevo players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Aco Mandic (203-84, agency: 011 Sports) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Luka Zitko (196-81) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ribola Kastela. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. KK Skrljevo have a solid four-game winning streak. KK Skrljevo moved-up to fifth place. Ribola Kastela lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. KK Skrljevo will have a break next round. Ribola Kastela will play on the road against Jolly (#8) in Sibenik and hope to win that game.
