Regular Season Round 28: KaU Koris - Raholan Pyrkiva 84-78

There was a surprise result in Karkkila where eleventh ranked KaU Koris (10-18) beat higher ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (17-11) 84-78 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Raholan Pyrkiva won third quarter 25-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Raholan Pyrkiva outrebounded KaU Koris 41-28 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Aatu Kivimaki (184-97) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 4 assists and point guard Janne Kinnunen (185-87) who added 19 points during the contest. KaU Koris' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side guard Tommi Rasi (184-98) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and Ukrainian power forward Timur Babkin (205-87) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. KaU Koris maintains eleventh position in Division with 10-18 record. Loser Raholan Pyrkiva keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
