The game in Chiba supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Hokkaido L. (21-20) played at the court of 8th ranked Chiba Jets (15-22). Hokkaido L. did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 77-59 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chiba Jets. The game without a history. Hokkaido L. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while Chiba Jets only scored eleven points from the stripe. Chiba Jets were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) scored 28 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-92) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Clint Chapman (208-89, college: Texas) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and international power forward Ryumo Ono (197-88) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hokkaido L. have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 21-20 record. Loser Chiba Jets dropped to the seventh place with 22 games lost. Hokkaido L. will face higher ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (#5) in Tokyo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Chiba Jets will play on the road against Dragonflies in Hiroshima and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
