Quarter-Finals Round 1: Naestved - Randers 103-83

Naestved drubbed Randers at home court in the quarterfinal series opener. The game was mostly controlled by Naestved. Randers managed to win second period 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naestved forced 19 Randers turnovers and outrebounded them 41-19 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Caleb Walker (193-89, college: Nebraska) fired 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import point guard Troy Franklin (183-89, college: Coppin St.) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. Four Naestved players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) produced 23 points and 4 assists and American power forward Bonell Colas (205-82, college: Florida) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
