The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Galil Gilboa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Galil Gilboa smashed 7th ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba in Rosh Pina 93-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hapoel Kfar Saba. Galil Gilboa players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Hapoel Kfar Saba's players. Point guard Joaquin Shuchman (191-95) notched a double-double by scoring 19 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the effort and American Jason Siggers (194-85, college: Albany) supported him with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Galil Gilboa players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by American guard Vernon Teel (193-87, college: Loyola Mary) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Kfar Saba. Point guard Adi Cohen (178-93) added 11 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Hapoel Kfar Saba at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba will play next round against Hap.R/G Givat. trying to get back on the winning streak. Galil Gilboa will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Ironi Ashkelon at home.
