Soles held off Correcaminos to reach the semifinal stage of the tournament. Correcaminos were trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-21 charge of Soles, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Correcaminos' 30. They outrebounded Correcaminos 43-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Soles looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International forward Juan Anderson (198-93, college: Marquette) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Soles players scored in double figures. American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Marquis Ayala (178) added 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Correcaminos.
