Very predictable result when fourth ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (29-13) defeated on the road 9th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (14-28) 90-74 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Hamamatsu Phoenix. Fukuoka Rizing was better in third quarter 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hamamatsu Phoenix made 29-of-38 free shots (76.3 percent) during the game. Hamamatsu Phoenix outrebounded Fukuoka Rizing 33-19 including a 24-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fukuoka Rizing was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch.
