Thor Thorl upset Haukar to gain the advantage in the series. Haukar was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Thor Thorl, which allowed them to win the game. They outrebounded Haukar 49-36 including 37 on the defensive glass. Haukar was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Vance Hall (193-91, college: Bellarmine) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners and the former international center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218-91) chipped in 4 points and 9 rebounds. Thor Thorl's coach Einar Johannson allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Brandon Mobley (206-91, college: Seton Hall, agency: HMS) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and guard Emil Barja (192-91) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds.
