Regular Season Round 27: Angers BC - GET Vosges 90-82

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Angers BC (13-14) won against at home higher ranked GET Vosges (15-12) 90-82 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 90-82. It was a great shooting night for Angers BC especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was a good game for point guard Hugo Suhard (184-92) who led his team to a victory with 26 points and 4 assists. American forward Cedrick Williams (206-92, college: NC-Wilmington) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Angers BC players scored in double figures. Forward Steven Ricard (200-90) answered with 23 points and American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for GET Vosges. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Angers BC moved-up to tenth place, which they share with SAP Vaucluse. Loser GET Vosges dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Angers BC will face higher ranked Quimper UJAP (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
