ALBA Berlin (#5) forced the game against EWE Baskets (#4) into an overtime, but lost by two points 93-95 on Saturday night. The game took place in Berlin. But the guests from Oldenburg were better at the end. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ALBA Berlin. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 18-17 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 2-point victory in overtime. EWE Baskets' coach Mladen Drijencic used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Three Eye Sports) responded with 26 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian guard Dragan Milosavljevic (198-89) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. EWE Baskets (19-6) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with B.Muenchen. ALBA Berlin at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. EWE Baskets will face Braunschweig (#10) in Braunschweig in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ALBA Berlin will play at home against Phoenix Hagen (#11) and hope to win that game.
