Regular Season Round 47: Shiga L-Stars - Bambitious Nara 89-61

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Shiga L-Stars (27-12) outscored at home 8th ranked Bambitious Nara (15-28) 89-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Shiga L-Stars led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bambitious Nara's 32. They outrebounded Bambitious Nara 39-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Yu Okada (184-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Shiga L-Stars' coach Tohyama Kohto felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Charles Hinkle (196-88, college: American) responded with 14 points and 6 assists and American Josh Ritchart (206, college: Cal-Davis) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Shiga L-Stars. They maintain sixth place with 27-12 record. Bambitious Nara lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 28 games lost. Shiga L-Stars will face again Bambitious Nara (#8) at home in the next round.
