Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Siauliai (13-16) smashed at home bottom-ranked Dzukija (6-23) 91-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Siauliai. Dzukija managed to win fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was international Rokas Giedraitis (198-92) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Mike Scott (183-93, college: Idaho, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. Four Siauliai players scored in double figures. American forward Jeff Robinson (198-88, college: Seton Hall) produced 13 points and 8 rebounds and center Tomas Urbonas (215-92) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Siauliai maintains sixth position with 13-16 record. Dzukija lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Siauliai will meet higher ranked Vytautas (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dzukija will play against the league's leader Zalgiris (#1) and hope to secure a win.
