No shocking result in a game when second ranked Piacenza (21-5) beat at home 12th ranked Faenza (10-16) 73-69 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Power forward Francesco Infante (202-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Giovanni Gasparin (187-91, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Piacenza players scored in double figures. Forward Jacopo Silimbani (202-86, agency: Interperformances) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and forward Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Faenza. Piacenza maintains second position in B with 21-5 record behind leader Forli. Newly promoted Faenza dropped to the tenth place with 16 games lost. Piacenza will face Trecate (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Faenza will play against Bottegone (#13) and hope to win that game.
