Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Leon (9-9) was rolled over at home by second ranked Grupo Inec Z. (14-4) 116-71 on Saturday. The game without a history. Grupo Inec Z. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Leon's 46 and made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Leon 43-32 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Chris Hansen (193, college: Idaho St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points. Center Christopher Iza (206-95) helped adding 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Five Grupo Inec Z. players scored in double figures. American forward Wykevin Bazemore (193-93, college: Winston Salem) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Trevor Berkeley (198-92, college: Drake) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grupo Inec Z. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place in Group A-B with 14-4 record having just 8 victories less than leader Badajoz. Loser Leon keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
