There was no surprise when 9th ranked Widzew (6-16) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Polkowice (17-5) 69-62. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-19. But Widzew won second period 18-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Nicole Michael (188-87, college: Syracuse) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Nikki Greene (193-90, college: Penn St.) supported her with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Polkowice players scored in double figures. Polkowice's coach Vadim Czeczuro allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws) by American guard Angel Robinson (170-89, college: Marquette, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for Widzew. Latvian center Aija Brumermane (192-86) added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Polkowice moved-up to third place, which they share with Sleza Wroclaw. Widzew lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 16 games lost.
