Regular Season Round 47: Takamatsu FA - Kanazawa Samuraiz 65-82

Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Takamatsu FA (11-30) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Kanazawa Samuraiz (24-19) 82-65 on Saturday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Kanazawa Samuraiz's pressure prevailed and they won that period 33-18 extending their advantage to 17 points. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Takamatsu FA was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for power forward Andrew Fitzgerald (202-90, college: Oklahoma) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marshall Brown (200-85, college: Missouri) helped adding 16 points. Four Kanazawa Samuraiz players scored in double figures. Power forward Anthony Kent (208-83, college: Ball St.) responded with 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Nino Johnson (206-93, college: SE Missouri St.) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Takamatsu FA's coach Tsuda Hiromichi rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kanazawa Samuraiz maintains seventh place with 24-19 record. Loser Takamatsu FA keeps the tenth position with 30 games lost. Kanazawa Samuraiz will have a break next round. Takamatsu FA will play again at home against Kanazawa Samuraiz (#7) and hope to win that game.
