Regular Season Round 23: Castellbisbal - Barbera 67-70

Important game to mention about took place in Castellbisba. First ranked Barbera (10-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Castellbisbal (8-6) 70-67 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 24-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Barbera forced 26 Castellbisbal turnovers. Castellbisbal was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Luis Lopez (205-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Francesc Cairo (185-83) helped adding 13 points. Four Barbera players scored in double figures. Forward Marc Manes (196-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds and guard Felix Lopez (190-85) scored 14 points and 4 steals. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Barbera maintains first place in Group C Perman with 10-4 record. Castellbisbal at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
