Regular Season Round 23: Quart - Igualada 63-46

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Quart (8-5) beat at home 9th ranked Igualada (5-9) 63-46 on Sunday. The game without a history. Quart led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 Igualada turnovers. It was a great evening for forward Albert Masllorens (199-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 5 points, 11 rebounds and 5 blocks. Point guard Jordi Bataller (183-86) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Forward Albert Del Hoyo (192-92) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and center Eduard Tejero (195-92) scored 5 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Quart maintains third place in Group C Titulo with 8-5 record having just five point less than leader Badajoz. Newly promoted Igualada keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
