Quarter-Finals Round 3: Naestved - Randers 101-78
Date: March 21, 2016
Naestved fired past Randers to complete the sweep. The game without a history. Naestved led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Naestved outrebounded Randers 57-28 including a 22-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Senegalese forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 19 rebounds. International forward Alexander Bak (193-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Five Naestved players scored in double figures. American-Belizean point guard Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) answered with 38 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the former international swingman Chris Nielsen (192-85) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Randers. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
