Quarter-Finals Round 3: Haukar - Thor Thorl 84-75

Haukar held off Thor Thorl to take 2-1 lead in the series. Thor Thorl was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 25-14 charge of Haukar, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Finnur Magnusson (207-85, college: Catawba) who led the winners and scored 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Emil Barja (192-91) accounted for 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American guard Vance Hall (193-91, college: Bellarmine) came up with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and the former international center Ragnar Nathanaelsson (218-91) added 12 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Thor Thorl in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
