Regular Season Round 49: Fukushima - Yokohama BC 73-67

Very predictable result when fifth ranked Fukushima (27-16) won against at home 10th ranked Yokohama BC (18-27) 73-67 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Yokohama BC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Strangely Yokohama BC outrebounded Fukushima 52-37 including 38 on the defensive glass. Yokohama BC was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Masaya Karimata (178-88) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Panamanian-American forward Jordan Henriquez (214-89, college: Kansas St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and American forward Carl Hall (203-89, college: Wichita St.) added 21 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Yokohama BC. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Fukushima. They maintain fifth place with 27-16 record. Yokohama BC lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 27 games lost. Fukushima will face again Yokohama BC (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
