Regular Season Round 38: Trotamundos - Gigantes 82-84

A very interesting game took place in Valencia. It ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Trotamundos (15-16) to fourth ranked Gigantes (12-17) 84-82 on Saturday evening. Trotamundos were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 28-22 charge of Gigantes, which allowed them to win the game. The former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) orchestrated the victory by scoring 9 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. American guard Keyron Sheard (188-86, college: Chattanooga, agency: Haylett Sports) contributed with 22 points and 7 steals for the winners. The former international Dwight Lewis (197-87, college: USC) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American Robert Glenn (203-89, college: IUPUI) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Trotamundos. Four Trotamundos players scored in double figures. Trotamundos' coach Jesus Cordovez let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gigantes maintains fourth position with 12-17 record. Trotamundos at the other side keep the third place with 16 games lost. Gigantes will have a break next round. Trotamundos will play again at home against Gigantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
