Semi-Finals Game 1: Inter Bratislava - Rieker KN 88-92

Date: March 26, 2016
Rieker Komarno upset Inter Bratislava on the road to spur ahead in the semifinal series. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-21. But Inter Bratislava won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Rieker KN won last quarter 27-25. 27 personal fouls committed by Inter Bratislava helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American forward P.J. Alawoya (203-88, college: McNeese St., agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Bernard Thompson (190-93, college: FGCU) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Alawoya is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: Beo Basket) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and American point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Inception Sports) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 14 assists in the effort for Inter Bratislava. Five Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Lubomir Urban tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
