The game between fifth ranked Binnenland (10-12) and 6th ranked Amazone (2-20) in Rotterdam on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Binnenland outscored guests from Utrecht 102-46. Binnenland dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Amazone's 22. Binnenland forced 31 Amazone turnovers and outrebounded them 47-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international guard Zera Butter (179-92) notched 43 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and swingman Lisa Van den Adel (179-89) supported her with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Binnenland's coach felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 12 points and 7 rebounds by Renee Hoveling (186-94) did not help to save the game for Amazone. Spanish center Maria Massuet (183-90) added 8 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Binnenland maintains fifth position with 10-12 record. Amazone lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 20 games lost. Binnenland will meet higher ranked Lekdetec.nl (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Amazone will play against CTO and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
