Regular Season Round 21: Charnay - Dunkerque 58-55

A very interesting game took place in Charnay-les-Macon. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Dunkerque (7-14) to eleventh ranked Charnay (6-15) 58-55 on Saturday evening. Strangely Dunkerque outrebounded Charnay 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Laure Belleville (175-87) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Candace Williams (184-88, college: New Hampshire) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian guard Korissa Williams (175-92) who recorded 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Anais Viale (188-91) added 8 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Charnay maintains eleventh place with 6-15 record. Dunkerque lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. Charnay's next round opponent will be higher ranked Montbrison (#9) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
