Very expected game when 14th ranked Kavala (5-19) was defeated at home by second ranked Panathinaikos (23-1) 82-76. Kavala was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 45-36 second half run of Panathinaikos. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for Dominican-American guard James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) who led his team to a victory with 22 points. American James Gist (206-86) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) replied with 12 points and 8 assists and Bulgarian Chavdar Kostov (195-88, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Kavala. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
