Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Liga Sorocaba (8-20) lost to sixth ranked Paulistano (20-8) in Sorocabana 65-81 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Paulistano. Liga Sorocaba managed to win fourth quarter 24-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The former international Jhonatan Luz dos Santos (196-87) notched 27 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Arthur Pecos (183-95) supported him with 12 points. Even 13 points and 9 rebounds by guard Arlindo Neto (187-86) did not help to save the game for Liga Sorocaba. Point guard Jeferson Froehlich (193-91) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Liga Sorocaba players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Paulistano moved-up to third place. Liga Sorocaba lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Universo/Vitoria.
