We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Santo Andre (4-16) was defeated on the road by bottom-ranked Pres.Valceslau (2-18) 71-66 on Tuesday. Santo Andre trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 29-22 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-71 at the end of the game. Pres.Valceslau forced 20 Santo Andre turnovers and outrebounded them 35-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Fabiana Guedes (182-78) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Argentinian power forward Andrea Boquete Manna (183-90) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest.
